EASTROGEN RISING was put together by Irish producer BeRn in response to a request from the people behind the Five Lamps Arts Festival. They wanted a performance depicting the women of 1916.

Together with fifteen other performers, BeRn pulled out all the stops to put on a display that hasn’t been done before.

During it’s run in the South, the show sold out on its first night and immediately an additional four nights were put on to meet the demand for tickets. It was the most successful show of the festival.

For one night only, The Roddies will play host to the Rebel Cabaret. This struck me as odd because the club isn’t that big on women’s rights and I never miss an opportunity to remind them of it. But perhaps one hundred years on, male dominated societies are ceasing the act of airbrushing women out of history.

The fact that this show is coming here is historical itself.

Tickets are selling fast, you can buy them from the club or pay at the door.

This is sure to be another sell out night.
